emily cohen
Emily has consulted with design firms, creative agencies, and in-house corporate creative departments for over twenty years. During this time, she has provided confidential, best-practice insights and advice on staff, client, and process-management strategies.
She has also conducted client interviews and surveys and written winning RFPs, proposals and contracts.
Currently Emily serves on the board of advisors of InSource (a nonprofit association providing resources and advocacy for in-house corporate creative managers) and on the AIGA in-house task force. She is frequently requested as a speaker on business-related issues for the creative industry and has spoken at the HOW, MYOB and InHOWse conferences, as well as numerous AIGA events.
Emily consulted with the dean of New York University's School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS) to develop and launch the school's new Certificate of Graphic Design program. Part of the mix was hands-on experience: Emily taught SCPS's Business of Graphic Design course.
